As the photograph, taken on 8th March indicates, progress on the building of the new bridge at Eastham is advanced.

We have been busy interviewing local resident farmers and in this blog issue we have two clips; the first from Stuart Ward whose family farm land downstream from Eastham Bridge on the south bank. Stuart describes the character of his farm from the 1940s and 50s when his father was in charge. In the second clip Jim Froggatt, now living in Tenbury, who farmed at Hillwood from the 1950s, shares his recollection of salmon fishing with Stuart; again downstream from the Bridge.

In forthcoming entries we will be sharing some of Celia Adams thoughts from her family’s farm on the south bank of the Teme at Eastham Court and presenting a sample of the historic literature and art of Eastham and its neighbouring parishes.
